Ziebart Winnipeg is under new management!

Igor Pecuh has always had a passion for anything on wheels. Having vivid memories of working on classic automobiles with his dad as a child growing up in the suburbs of Winnipeg, he learned the importance of vehicle preservation and restoration.  The family stable resurrected old Model A Fords, classic Mustang GT convertibles to an acclaimed 1969 Camaro Pace Car Convertible.  Countless other European and domestic examples of automotive history were restored in the family’s West Kildonan shop.

Igor started his career in the family auto body shop sweeping the floors and cleaning cars as a young teen.  This first job bought him his prized 1965 Mustang Convertible.  While working daily on the shop floor expediting insurance claims and heading restorations, he learned the fine art of vehicle body repair and painting.  From collision work to a meticulous paint job, he took pride in every job that undertook his hand. Knowing that the industry was drastically changing, he focused his approach by taking on a management position with his team.  During this time he earned his commerce degree while running the daily operations.

Unfortunately the very source that started him on his career path nearly ended it.  A severe allergy to the shop attacked him, to the point that he could not longer spend any time at the family business again.  Merely a few weeks later news hit that he was available.  He was recruited by the largest chemical company in the world to head their automotive group as Business Development Specialist.  He was enlisted to take his expertise to help troubled companies regroup, regain their businesses and to build new relationships.  Igor realized a short time after that something was missing.  He was very good at what he set out to do, but something was lacking in his life.

After taking time to reflect, Igor entered the Winnipeg automotive scene once again with a new vision, an opportunity, and a need that was not being fulfilled.  From what was once known as Ziebart for over 40 years has now become a larger, vibrant company with much more to offer in automotive glass, protection, accessories and detailing.  It is what we today on the companies 50th Anniversary have named UniglassPlusZiebart.
