ANTI-THEFT DEVICES

Imagine you're in a hurry to get someplace. Let's say it's a job interview, or, you're supposed to meet someone at the airport. Maybe someone you love is sick or injured. The last thing you want is to run out to where you left your car, "just a minute ago", and find it stolen! Life's not tough enough; now you have this to contend with.

Thieves have a tendency to choose quick and easy targets. That's why it's a good idea to make breaking into your vehicle as difficult as possible! Anti-Theft Devices are a great way to do this.

Because the use of anti-theft devices reduces the likelihood of your vehicle being stolen, MPI (Manitoba Public Insurance) provides a number of incentives:

Anti-Theft Devices: You see plenty of these on the market nowadays, and they may vary considerably in their price and complexity. If you're buying a brand new car, you might want to choose one that has a device already installed. Immobilizing System
Disables three vehicle operating systems, such as ignition, fuel, starter circuit, and sometimes car alarms. Electronic immobilizers require a special key or small electronic device to start a vehicle's engine. Many newer model vehicles are factory-equipped with immobilizers as standard equipment, and after-market devices are also available.

Car Alarm
Activated whenever someone uninvited tries to enter your vehicle . Shock sensors, hood and trunk protection, loud horn or siren.  Sometimes comes with a warning decal to thieves.
